Knai Bang Chatt to fund mangrove planting through 2026 guest bookings

Knai Bang Chatt by Kep West has launched The Regenerative Stay, a year-long programme that connects guest stays with coastal restoration efforts in Kep, Cambodia.
Under the initiative, all bookings made for 2026 will fund the planting of 10 mangrove seedlings per stay. The programme is delivered in partnership with Marine Conservation Cambodia and local mangrove community members, with planting activities focused on the Kep coastline.

The resort states that each mangrove tree can offset around 308kg of CO₂ over an estimated 25-year growth period. Based on this calculation, ten trees would offset more than 7.7 tonnes of CO₂ over their lifetime. The planting is intended to contribute to long-term ecosystem health rather than short-term......
